Austin Pets Alive! aims to make central Texas no-kill for companion animals. They have created programs to save key groups of animals that were not making it out of municipal shelters alive, including puppies with parvovirus, unweaned kittens, cats with ringworm, and dogs and cats in need of additional medical attention or behavioral support. By targeting these groups and pulling from euthanasia lists, they have saved over 100,000 dogs and cats since 2008.
