Cybersecurity vs Software Engineering.

Hey everyone,

I've recently been applying to a new position for software engineering and honestly it's a bit insane how few responses I'm getting. I was wondering if anyone had any input on wether the cybersecurity space was the same or if it was any better?

getting into the cybersecurity space without work/IT experience won’t happen without certs, and the Security+ cert is the place to start imo.

Once you’ve proven yourself, one way or another, job offers are like candy on Halloween.

just my take from what I’ve seen after 8 years in the field.

It's just as bad at the moment. I've found the cybersecurity job market follows the SWE and broader tech market pretty closely.
