How early can you apply for internships ?

I am a sophomore getting ready to finish my associates before transferring to a four year college and i wanted to start applying to interships however i dont know if now is a good time. Any advice would be appreciated!&nbsp;

Some companies have a junior level or above requirement, but a lot of startups and even larger companies allow any college student apply. Definitely doesn't hurt to put in an application. Might be helpful for startups: https://www.workatastartup.com/internships

I would start applying by the end of august you junior year but before that I would make a list and a plan of who you want to apply to and start working on tailoring your resume for the internships you really want before you start the school year
