Amazon Solution Architect: is certification required ?

To apply as a Solution Architect in Amazon, does it require to have AWS Certified Solution Architect&nbsp;or similar certification?

Not required, but always beneficial - for hiring into my team any certs are good. BUT you can be sure someone in the loop or phone screen will probe into your knowledge

No you don’t need a certification to apply. If you don’t have a certification, you’ll have to pass the SAA cert within the first 3 months of joining.

Not required but at the higher levels you’d likely have a hard time passing the technical bar if you can’t pass the certification exam.

Certifications are always a bonus and if you already have one, make sure you have them listed in a separate section on your resume, like "awards, certifications, publications"
