Hello All, Wanted to know how is the job market for switching to new roles in the first quater of 2023 ?

Usually it picks up in the new year as companies wrap up their financial planning now, but with the market, who knows anymore. Companies are still pretty lightly hiring now, but I know there's word around Amazon there might be more layoffs in the new year too.

Usually by beginning of Q2, budgets have been set and resources allocated to bring in new hires, so hiring generally picks up Q2-Q3. Its definitely company dependent, but most companies follow a standard trend of slowdown towards EOY, ramp up beginning of the new year.
