I am not sure if there is a general "best" approach- It depends on your individual strengths & weaknesses- It depends on the company you are interviewing with. All types of interviews may have company-specific gotchas you may want to practice for- It also depends - to some degree - on the role. Meta e.g. has Product Vs System Design interviews. While they look practically the same, they are only similar to a degree. Your HLD will already focus on different topics and the deep-dives even more With this said- I think LC (premium for that matter) suffices for algo-prep. The approach there needs to be adjusted to your level & company you applying for- A generic Behavioural prep can be based on the questions in the LC "explore" card for Behaviourals. For the answers you need to write them down anyway and rely on experience and company-specific values (e.g. Amazon Leadership Principles)- System Design is hard to give advice on. First you need to make sure you have the right knowledge. There are a bunch of resources, from DDIA to SD primer. It really depends on your current skills. Then you need to familiarise yourself with the typical questions and their default approaches. Many suggest the educative course, I prefer the Alex Xu book. It felt more in-depth which is required for staff+. Finally you need practice in this format, because it has no correct/wrong check. I think it's the interview where you can profit most from (paid) mocks with experienced interviewers (IGotAnOffer etc)
