Salesforce lays off 10% of employees

Question

Around 7k people were laid off today. Some of them didn't find out until they tried to enter the building. For all the grandstanding by CEO (Marc Benioff), seems like a pretty brutal move.

Lots of senior engineers got cut, it’s brutal.

Same guy who complained about new employees being less productive in the remote environment. Can't say I'm surprised, but that's a cutthroat way to go.
