Thoughts on Peloton layoffs?

They apparently laid off 1 in 5 employees. Do you think more layoffs are coming from other companies that mightve miscalibrated their market size due to the pandemic?

I think it's jus that Peloton had a terrible year in sales and when they were doing comps, they had a big oppsie

Peloton went bananas at the start of the pandemic, and assumed that level of growth was the new norm. Then when that growth fizzled out, they had no choice but to lower staff significantly.

So unless the company that you are at (or considering) is riding a wave from a pandemic and didn't plan for the eventual downturn from it, you should be OK.
