HI, I'm new here.I'd like to know if MS Excel or SQL is a must for a non-IT fresher to get placed as Data Analyst.  Thank you

Those are 2 commonly used technologies for analyzing data, so I’d say it would certainly expand your opportunities if you knew them.

As a current Data Analyst I use SQL on the daily. That is a good thing to have
