The best way is to create a great initial product with a bold vision. Once you start talking to angels and VCs, you want to instill a sense of fomo, that you’re the next big deal circling around VC circles. So sheer volume of talking to firms is a part of the process. If you have a friend or angel that is willing to write you a first check, you can use that as leverage to catapult your deal and put it in front of others. Every investor that ends up writing a check should be blasting intros to you to other investors. The trick is to get your round closed and “oversubscribed” in a very short period of time.
