GPA drop causing losing internship?

Question

I was able to snap an internship at Chevron next summer and have already sent an unofficial transcript and was accepted. Since then my gpa has dropped to a 2.7 from a 4.0. What are the odds they check this?

I've never heard of this happening. Honestly, I don't think most companies care enough about interns to even care if your GPA dropped.

highly doubtful, plus I am assuming if it dropped that significantly in a short period of time you still have a number of classes left to build it back up!
