Agree with @f390hawk. If you're at the same employee for years without "real" interviewing experience (as a candidate) and decide to (or have to) find a new position, your interview skills will be rusty and you could miss out on good opportunities.
In addition to the usual desideratum of keeping your comp expectations calibrated to the market, moderate interviewing (1-2 per quarter seems like it'd suffice) would help avoid that pitfall.
