This new job pays me €4,200/month. I know that this is considered quite “a lot” for someone in my situation, but still, my country is no longer worth living in. Every day, the situation here worsens.</div><div><br></div><div>I plan to apply for a Digital Nomad Visa or an IT Work Visa in one of abovementioned countries.</div><div><br></div><div>Currently, I work as a Backend Engineer at an AI company in Germany (earning €2,700/month). <p>Recently, I received my long-awaited FAANG offer, along with an offer from a smaller-sized company.</p><p><br></p><p>I have little understanding of how the negotiation process works—how to determine if there's room for negotiation and when it's appropriate to do.</p><p><br></p><p>Could you share your own guide on how to navigate this process? Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!</p>

How to negotiate?

<p>Started working at this place last year that had an unlimited PTO policy but when I took ~5 weeks off I got in trouble with my manager during my end of year review. Said stuff like how I was slacking and if I didn't want to be there, they could easily find someone else.</p><p><br></p><p>Obviously I started looking for new jobs right away, but have any of you guys actually had good experiences with companies that have unlimited PTO policies? Just curious to know.</p>
