Is it seen as a bit unprofessional to change LinkedIn status to #lookingforwork?

Not really. It does look a little desperate but you will get more leads. I wouldnt put the circle around your logo.

I think it looks a little desperate tbh. There's a way I think to set yourself open to work without it showing publicly. The public one feels a little bit cringe but maybe that's just me.
