No. Not in the current employment climate. While I understand this is just Amazon urging for the completion of an already preset number, I don't believe this will put a fire under any butts. The administration is heavily focused on US employment right now, and Chips & Science has provisions which specifically limit offshore use. In that spirit I doubt anyone in the administration is pushing this.

I could easily be wrong.

I'm all for more international teams. There's way more talent out there than we realize and making the bar impossible to clear only hurts our country in the long run.

Normally this just means Amazon will increase the number of folks they have in their offshore offices waiting for visas. Never affects gov policy.
