A question of compensation at Oracle

Question

I am offered an IC4 role as a database developer at Oracle. When we talked about compensation, I was told that there is no stock options for this role. I was googling and everywhere shows the contrary.

Is it possible (no stock for IC4 roles) ?

Just talked to one of top tier SF eng directors, he says in 90s Microsoft and Apple colluded laying off lots of ppl to dump engineering salaries. Honestly when I look at the market... You can't know for sure, but looks real

Recession on the horizon. They might be trying to hedge but offering low comp. You’ll have to weigh that with all the offers you get, they will probably be a little lower than you will expect

I’ve worked at many large multi nationals, none have offered stock options.  Smaller companies I have but they never pay out.  So I wouldn’t fixate on this area of compensation.
